Deveshwar Travels was founded by Martin and Lenka, who have travelled, lived and practised in India for twenty years, to open the Himalaya and India to others the way they came to know them: authentically, intensely and without unnecessary barriers.
Some journeys begin with a decision, not a ticket
The idea of a travel agency devoted to the Himalaya and India did not come from poring over a map at a desk. It came on the journey itself: in the silence of mountain valleys, where time slows down, and in the bustling streets of India, where everything pulses with life. The contrast between these worlds showed that travel does not have to be about moving from place to place. It can be a profound experience that transforms a person.
On our own travels we saw how hard it can be to explore these regions authentically, safely and with respect for the local culture. Genuine adventure and professional organisation rarely came together. That is where the idea was born: an agency that opens the doors to the Himalaya and India for people the way we experienced them ourselves.
Because some journeys do not begin with buying a plane ticket. They begin with the decision to change one's perspective on the world.

Martin
Founder and tour leader
Martin spent twenty years living in India, including many years as a monk. He speaks Hindi fluently and knows the Himalayan pilgrimage routes, their ashrams and their people from the inside.
His connection to the Yoga in Daily Life system and to the lineage of Shri Alakhpuriji is the reason these journeys exist: they lead to places that are part of his own spiritual path.
Lenka
Co-founder
Lenka met Martin in India, where their shared connection to the country became the beginning of a personal and a common journey.
She turns ideas into journeys that work: the planning, the communication with participants and the care that makes every pilgrimage feel welcoming from the first enquiry until the return home.
